Fishing Condition: Clear water conditions

Report:
Fall is here, the color is spectacular, and the fishing has been exceptional. At this time most of the areas that we guide on are fishing very well. The South Platte in all areas has been good. We will move you around to make sure we can put every client on the best fishing
possible.

Depending on the section and the day we have seen very good trico and BWO mayfly hatches. There are still a few big mayflies and
hoppers around as well.  The best action has been subsurface. Many large fish have been targeted and taken on nymphs.

All the high mountain lakes we fish are hot right now! Lots of nice brook trout have come to hand, and the colors are spectacular.  There is still a lot of good lake fishing to be done this season too. Dry-flies and sight-fishing have been the most effective technique.

Fishing on all the private waters we have access to on the South Platte has been very productive this fall. We do still have a few select days available so give us a ring, and we will be happy to accommodate everyone we can.

Tarryall Creek has low water but is still fishing well. There have been many big trout landed this fall and some surprisingly big northern pike have been landed.

The brown trout and brown trout pictured here are starting to get their fall colors and have been starting to get a bit more aggressive. The
Kokanee salmon have also just started moving into the rivers.
