Fly Fishing Guide

I was born in Denver Colorado. My Grandfather took me fishing for the first time when I was four years old.  He was fly fishing, and I had
a Zebco, push button, bait setup with an earthworm.  He caught one fish, and I caught nothing, it was so much fun I have been fishing since 1962. I have and will continue to search for trout on a fly rod!

My guiding status started in 2015 at Anglers Covey in Colorado Springs. My work experience, outside of fishing, was earned in the golf industry working in private country clubs, that spanned over 37 years. The majority of my fishing has been here in Colorado searching for trout of all sizes.  Any creek or river has trophy trout within it’s banks, a trophy being the largest fish the environment of the water can support.  My largest trout caught and landed was a 34 inch Brown Trout.

I enjoy working with fly fishers of all levels and experience.  It is very enjoyable to introduce clients of all ages to the world of fly fishing, and I hope they like it enough to keep fishing.  Those with more experience are great to take and search for large fish. I get very excited when my clients hook and land a beautiful trout (you will get to see my 8 year old excited face when this happens).

I love to tie the flies I use and give to my clients, and because of that I have a some different details on a few of the popular patterns.

Tight lines to you!
