Denver trout fishing guide trip report November 1, 2007
Date: November 1, 2007
Location: Boxwood Gulch
Number of Anglers: 2
Guide: Tad Howard
Weather: Cloudy in the AM clearing through the day.
River Condition: Water temps in the low 40’s. Flow 40 cfs. Water has very good visibility.
Report:
Fishing was very good especially with the cloud cover in the morning. Annie started out the day red hot with 3 big trout a brown, cut-bow, and rainbow all in the first few minutes. Through the day we caught lots of big trout fly fishing nymphs. Small flies seemed to work best. The water flows on the North Fork are very low concentrating the fish.
Private trout fishing near Denver offers big fun year round!
Winter rates start November 1!! For some private waters including Boxwood Gulch, Longmeadow Ranch, North Fork Ranch, and The Meadows. As long as the river is ice free the fishing should be great! This time of year many of the big trout are a bit easier to find and bring to the net. Ranch owners offer a reduced access fee for the winter months.
