Trip Report for February 22, 2007

Date: February 22, 2007

Weather: Cool and sunny in morning upper 20’s; warmed by mid-day.

River Condition: Water temps in upper 30’s.  Low and clear water conditions; 75 cfs.

Report:
Fun day with long-time friends and fishing partners, Jeremy and Martha Palotti.

After a long cold snowy winter conditions are improving and the fly fishing is quickly getting hot. Should be a great spring!

Cold temps overnight made the fishing a bit slow at first.  As the weather warmed up, so did the fish. Fish were eating small nymphs and small attractors.

Our Colorado fly fishing should keep improving as the weather warms up and the fish get much more active.

With many new private fly fishing locations available this season and a great snow pack, we are looking forward to an outstanding season.

Come give Colorado fly fishing a try for an unforgettable experience.
